Things to do

This is the point where I realize time is slowly running out O_o There's less than month left! I still have many places I want to visit... Well, the ones I really want to go to are just the Kurama onsen and Kinkakuji (or at least right now I can't remember more), but I had been planning on going to Osaka and Nara and go have a party at Metro and stuff like that. And I have to buy all the things people have asked me to buy before I don't have time to go to the town anymore O_o But what's the most urgent thing right now is that Comiket in Tokyo is next week! It's on Wednesday and Thursday, and if I want to spend a couple of days in Tokyo shopping and watching youth and then get back to Kyoto for new year, I'll have to leave with the night bus on Sunday or Saturday night! That's like, the day after tomorrow! O_o I wasn't expecting it to be so soon.

And christmas eve is tomorrow. Wow! It's here already! Even this morning, I didn't have any plans what to do and with whom, but during the day I decided. It's Friday and a cheap day for movies, so I'm gonna go see the new Inu-Yasha movie ^__^ I'll be alone, but I don't really mind. In fact I've come to think that the other exchange students wouldn't have the same kind of christmas I want to have, and besides I realized they're all probably having it on the 25th. They're all from the "British backround" and for them 25th is the day, but in Finland we do everything on the 24th. How strange that I didn't think about that before ^_^ Well, I'm gonna have my own small christmas with a movie and a cake (if possible) and some music and possibly candles in my room. And within the circumstances, that's just perfect for me ^__^

So, things I have to do. I have lots of thing I was supposed to do now that I'm over with the schoolwork, but it seems I don't have much time now either. Well, I'll try, anyway. I have 2 web projects, I need to send some of my stuff home in a package, I have to write 2 essays for school, I have to answer all those e-mails I horribly neglected during the last weeks of school, like I said I have to shop some souvenirs and "orders", and within two days I have to find a place to sleep at in Tokyo. I hope Heidi will be fast enough answering an e-mail about the youth hostel they spent time at when they were in Tokyo... I also wanted to do something for the Finnmanga website and I wanted to study Japanese, but I don't think I can do those. And I'm not gonna do another web project for school to get more credits, even though I'm not sure if I'm getting enough as it is, because I really don't want to work that much.

By the way, there's another intern period coming up at school this spring, so I should start planning what I'm gonna do then, whether I'm gonna go to some company or do some personal project... After the last intern period I decided I want to do a personal project next time, but I've kinda been doing only personal projects here. I might try to get to a web design company. But I still haven't done any BIG personal projects, anything I could, like, present as my great work or anything, so I kinda want to do that... So I'll have to spend a while thinking about this.

So, I was supposed to finally tell about what I've been doing for the past few days. It's nothing special, quite the contrary, but I just wanted to record it like I've been recording what I've been doing this far. Since holiday started, I've had no rhythm in my life. (That's probably why I'm so surprised several days have already passed...) Last day at school was the 21st, when I had one lecture and then went to check if there was anything going on at the studio class, and there wasn't. I went home and started reading a book, one of those that I got from the Canberra group, Across the Nightingale Floor by Lian Hearn. Well, actually I started it that morning because I woke up few hours before I should've. But since I was up very late the last night because of Yuuko's party and woke up that early, I was too sleepy to read for long and took a nap. I woke up at nine in the evening from that nap.

So that day I didn't do anything. I think I was up late again because I had just slept for most of the day, and the next morning was the one when Ravie woke me up before nine. Again I slept less than 5 hours during the night... And that day I didn't do anything either, I was too preoccupied by my personal problems to concentrate on anything else. I tried to read for a while but I couldn't concentrate much, and besides I was feeling very tired again. I took a little nap, this time only for about an hour or two and then went to the convenience store and ate something. Then I went to bed at around half past ten, trying to get my rhythm back to normal again.

That didn't work very well. Because I had been up so much the last couple of days, I woke up at 3 in the afternoon today. (I didn't sleep all the 16 hours, though... I couldn't get sleep for a few hours the previous night.) I was supposed to put an alarm at 11, but I forgot...

Today has been a lot better than yesterday, but I still haven't been doing anything. I realized all this lack of time so I've been thinking about all the things I still have to do and trying to arrange them in my head. I was gonna go ask for empty cardboard boxes from the convenience stores but I was too lazy to do that today, I'll do it tomorrow or the next day. Then I'll pack some things to send back home, and at the same time I'll send the last postcards I have left, I think. (I still haven't bought enough, so I'll have to get some tomorrow.) Today I'll organize and clean up a bit and answer those e-mails and hopefully work a bit on those web projects. And I'm gonna update my website, I've been neglecting that, too. And then I'll make a CD with the best music I have to take with me to Tokyo. Or these I plan to do at least.

Well, I guess I'd better get to it, as long as I still have time left before I have to go to bed. Maybe after today I'll be able to put my rhythm right :P
